Wine Not

I've always loved wine and over the years have tried to be more thoughtful about my appreciation. Which regions do I consistently like? What is it about one wine that I prefer over another? And while I feel like I've learned a decent amount about my own tastes over the years, I'm still fairly intimidated by wine. When I go to a new restaurant or wine shop and don't recognize any of the vineyards, I find myself at a loss as to what to order. Or when I do recognize something, I default to that instead of exploring new bottles. I'm taking this class to put more structure and language behind what I know and don't know about wine. In doing so I hope I gain a better understanding of what my tastes are in a way that makes me more comfortable exploring the vast, unknown world of wine!
