Why Wine?

My dad is quite into wine, so I've had the pleasure of being exposed to it from a young age. Family trips as a kid included visits to Napa and Chianti. I also had the chance to study abroad in Salamanca, Spain, where I enjoyed my fair share of Rioja (typically diluted with some coca-cola or casera to be perfectly honest). While wine has never been my first choice of beverage, I'm hoping that this class will give me a deeper appreciation and move it up the rankings. This may help me to develop a better relationship with my dad, or at least convince him to let me sample some of his more precious vintages. And who knows, this course may flow into that the ever elusive career path I've been looking for.
